Sandy Point Beach to Open on Time

It's beach time again!

With the summer season right around the corner, we are getting more and more calls about the opening.

The beach season will begin this Saturday, May 26, at 9 a.m. for the three-day weekend. Thereafter, we will have lifeguards on duty and restroom facilities open for the remaining weekends in June until we open daily for the summer from June 23 through Aug. 22.

A new busniess plan is being formulated and accounting safequards have been implemented to make sure that the operation stays within budget.

Season beach passes are also now available at Town Hall. Beach parking is free for residents, who must show a transfer station sticker or beach pass at the gate.
