btone FITNESS Now Open in Providence

Just in time for summer! btone's newest studio offers workouts that use custom-engineered machines and slow movements for fast results

Now open! btone FITNESS is pleased to announce the official grand opening of its newest location in Providence, Rhode Island in April. The new 1,700+ square-foot studio is the growing company’s 15th studio and is the latest in the company’s rapidly expanding franchise portfolio. The Providence studio, located in the Fox Point neighborhood at 500 South Water Street, is owned and operated by local Providence resident, Kelsey Irish, a long-time devotee of btone FITNESS who says the btone workout is a “genius hybrid of resistance training, yoga and pilates.”

The new studio joins other btone locations throughout New England, including those in Boston’s Back Bay, the North End and South Boston, along with studios in Wayland, Andover, Hanover, Lexington, Middleton, Waltham, Hamilton, Kingston and Wellesley, Massachusetts. Hartford, Connecticut and Harwich, Massachusetts locations recently opened as well and expansion plans call for additional studios to open throughout New England in the coming year.

btone FITNESS was founded by Jody Merrill, who has an existing connection to Providence [she graduated from Providence College in 2001.] “Providence is such an exciting market for us,” says Merrill. “We found the perfect location on South Water Street surrounded by like-minded stores, cafes and businesses, and the ideal franchise partner in Kelsey Irish, who has been a client of btone for many years. This studio opening is an exciting one for the company. and for me, personally. We know our launch will be a win-win for btone and those who seek a new fitness routine since there’s nothing else like this in the Providence market.”

New Providence studio owner and resident Kelsey Irish has been a btone client for several years, and is thrilled to be opening her own studio in Providence. “I’ve known for a long time Providence would be an ideal market for btone FITNESS. When this space on South Water Street across from Trader Joe’s became available, we jumped at the opportunity to open in this location. This is a neighborhood that attracts residents, visitors and employees making it convenient for anyone to squeeze in a 45-minute total body TONE workout during their daily routine. And that’s our number one priority - to make the btone FITNESS workout and class experience easy, accessible and convenient.”

Irish also acknowledges the surrounding Providence community for being so welcoming and supportive. “Our neighbors have been so gracious in recognizing our opening. That's why we love being part of a community that fully embraces new, small businesses like ours. And we’re also proud to support other small businesses like Edge and End, a local custom woodworking shop that works with underemployed workers who meticulously fabricated all of our studio furnishings from hand.”

The Providence studio, which boasts an abundance of natural light, along with ample on street and garage parking, will offer ten (10) custom-engineered machines [exclusive to btone FITNESS] to ensure a highly personalized class where clients will feel comfortable regardless of their fitness levels. Unlike other group exercise classes, btone specializes in 45-minute total-body TONE workouts on these machines, allowing clients to tailor each and every move with spring resistance and body placement. Clients can easily and safely modify or vary their workout based on their current fitness level and wellness goals. Says Irish, “Btone makes it easy to squeeze in a total-body workout during the day, before or after work, or whenever your schedule permits. And our location is easily reachable from downtown Providence and surrounding areas.”
