Massachusetts Woman Charged With DUI In Providence: Police (patch.com) — A 45-year-old Massachusetts driver was stopped on Henrietta Street in Providence around 2:30 a.m. and charged with driving under the influence, according to Rhode Island State Police. She also refused a chemical test, was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned, and later released to a responsible adult, highlighting an overnight enforcement action affecting Providence streets.
   

2. 4 Juveniles Charged With Hope High School Sexual Assault: Providence Police (patch.com) — Four juveniles are facing first-degree sexual assault charges after an alleged attack inside Providence's Hope High School, prompting an active investigation by Providence Police. Authorities say the youths are being held at the Rhode Island Training School, and are releasing limited details because of their ages and the ongoing nature of the case.
   

3. Historic College Hill home sells for $3.4M (pbn.com) — A historic Colonial Revival home at 102 Prospect Street on College Hill just sold for $3.4 million, marking one of Providence's top single-family sales this year. Built in 1906 and spanning nearly 5,900 square feet over three floors, the East Side property features six bedrooms, multiple fireplaces, a garden porch, and a two-car garage, and was assessed at $2.9 million in 2026.
   

4. Free dental clinic being held this weekend in Providence (wpri.com) — Residents who need dental care can get free cleanings, X-rays, fillings, and extractions this Saturday and Sunday at Providence Community Health Centers' dental clinic on Prairie Avenue. Lines open at 5:45 a.m. both days, and services are first-come, first-served until capacity is reached, with hundreds of volunteers supporting this Mission of Mercy event.
   

5. High On Fire Announce New U.S. Tour Dates Through 2027 (themosh.net) — Metal fans in Providence can catch High On Fire at Fete Music Hall on October 30 as part of the band's newly announced U.S. tour. The Grammy-winning group is adding a short Northeast run before year's end, with Providence sandwiched between Pennsylvania and Brooklyn shows.
