Providence Man Arrested On Gun Charges: Police

The Providence man was arrested during a traffic stop, police said.

PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence man was pulled over and arrested on gun charges, police said.

Michael Charvez, 25, was stopped on Interstate 95 in Warwick about 2:15 a.m. Thursday and arrested on charges of carrying a pistol or revolver without license or permit and large capacity feeding devices prohibited, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.

"Charvez was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and held overnight pending arraignment at the Third Division District Court," the release said.
