She also highlights the church's role near the Sakonnet River in climate resilience planning, positioning the parish as a potential gathering place during future flooding or extreme weather.
   

2. 'Friendship' incurs Tiverton neighbors' wrath (eastbayri.com) — A proposed 104‑unit manufactured home development on Stafford Road at the Tiverton–Fall River line has nearby residents alarmed about wetlands, flooding risks, wildlife loss, traffic, and falling property values. Tiverton Investments says its revised "Friendship Farms" plan is scaled back from an earlier version, while neighbors argue it crams more buildings onto sensitive land; the Planning Board will revisit it October 6.
   

3. Rhode Island archery hunters get earlier start under new deer rules (newsfromthestates.com) — Tiverton archery hunters now get a two‑week earlier start to deer season as part of expanded Zone 2 dates running through January 31, 2027. New aerial survey data show Tiverton and Little Compton have slightly above‑average deer densities, helping justify longer seasons and aligned archery, muzzleloader, and shotgun schedules across much of Rhode Island.
   

4. New Study in RI Finds Some of the Police and Flock… (golocalprov.com) — Tiverton is among Rhode Island communities using Flock license plate cameras that, according to a new ACLU report, provide limited public information about how surveillance data is shared and received. The group says many departments, including Tiverton's, omit key details from their online transparency portals, raising fresh questions about privacy and oversight of this growing statewide camera network.
