71-Year-Old Warwick Man Hit By Car
The man was crossing the street when he was hit by a car, police said.
WARWICK, RI — A 71-year-old Warwick man was hit by a car as he crossed the street, police said.
Michael Zarum was crossing Warwick Avenue near 114th Street about 8 p.m. Wednesday when he was hit by a 2015 Chrysler Sedan, the Warwick Police Department said in a media release.
Zarum was "not within a marked crosswalk at the time of the collision," according to the release.

"Warwick Rescue personnel arrived on scene immediately and transported Mr. Zarum to Rhode Island Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition and is being treated for head and leg injuries," the release said.
"The driver remained at the scene and is fully cooperating with the investigation," according to the release. "Speed and alcohol do not appear to be contributing factors."
