WEST GREENWICH, RI — An Exeter man was tracked down and arrested in West Greenwich following a domestic disturbance, police said.
Matthew Dampier, 33, was arrested about 10:30 p.m. Saturday on a warrant charging him with failing to appear for an arraignment in a domestic violence — simple assault case and an affidavit charging him with domestic simple assault, domestic disorderly conduct and eluding, the Rhode Island State Police said in a media release.
Dampier was arrested after a be-on-the-lookout alert was issued "for a suspect involved in a domestic disturbance" in Exeter and a "subsequent motor vehicle stop on Blueberry Heights Road," the release said.
Dampier was processed at the Hope Valley Barracks and taken to the Adult Correctional Institution Men's Intake Center, according to the release.
