• Savannah River Mission Completion honors employee families with 17 college Scholarships (postandcourier.com) — In Aiken, Savannah River Mission Completion has awarded 17 $4,000 scholarships to high school seniors who are children of SRMC employees, celebrating them at its Family Scholarship Awards Dinner. The program, which emphasizes STEM and technical careers tied to Savannah River Site’s mission, aims to support local families while strengthening the communities SRMC serves. 
• Wagener man, 77, dies after running off road in Aiken County (theaugustapress.com) — A 77-year-old Wagener man died after his pickup left Festival Trail Road near Airport Road in Aiken County, striking a mailbox, culvert and fence. He was taken by Aiken County EMS to Wellstar MCG, where he died Tuesday, and the coroner and Highway Patrol are still investigating with toxicology results pending.
• The Club Foundation Announces University of South Carolina Scholarship Fund (thegolfwire.com) — A new endowed scholarship fund for University of South Carolina hospitality students is being driven by The Tree Farm golf club just outside Aiken, highlighting the club’s strong ties to USC. With more than $184,000 raised so far, the fund will support students pursuing careers in club management, while showcasing how an Aiken-area employer of choice is investing in future industry leaders.
