Beaufort Marines rescue man from burning car (explorebeaufortsc.com) — Three Marines from Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort rushed to pull an unconscious driver from a burning car on Parris Island Gateway, then stayed to stabilize him alongside Beaufort County deputies until paramedics arrived. Their quick actions, using a metal bar to break into the vehicle and applying combat casualty care training, earned praise from local law enforcement for their calm teamwork under pressure.
