• Conway community garden back in bloom, providing free produce (wmbfnews.com) — Free fruits and vegetables are now available again at the On the Hill Community Garden on Racepath Avenue in Conway, where volunteers work daily to keep the plots thriving. Residents can stop by around 8–9 a.m. or 5:30 p.m. to ask volunteers about picking produce, and anyone interested in helping is welcome to join the effort.
   

• Coastal Carolina's Deuce Bailey named Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week (wmbfnews.com) — Coastal Carolina quarterback Deuce Bailey, playing for the Conway-based Chanticleers, has been named Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week after a standout season opener. He threw for 373 yards and three touchdowns, and he'll lead CCU back to Conway for the Sept. 12 home opener against Fordham at Brooks Stadium.
   

• Two men arrested after a traffic stop leads to drug seizure in Murrells Inlet (wmbfnews.com) — Two Conway men were arrested after deputies stopped a car in Murrells Inlet and reported finding more than 100 grams of suspected cocaine along with marijuana and other items. The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office says the men were taken to the county detention center, where they're awaiting bond hearings following Friday night's traffic stop.
