• ‘I feel at home here': Winthrop track alum returning as assistant coach (heraldonline.com subscription) — A standout Winthrop University track alum who grew up in Due West and starred at Dixie High School is returning to Winthrop as an assistant track and field coach. After producing state champions at Dixie and leading strong college programs elsewhere, she’s coming back to Rock Hill, closer to her hometown roots and family, to mentor the next generation of student‑athletes.
