• Another arrest made, 18 more dogs rescued in Georgia dogfighting ring (fox5atlanta.com) — Authorities rescued 18 dogs from an Elbert County home as a Hart County dogfighting investigation expanded to 27 arrests. Patrick Oneal Heard, 48, of Elberton, is among those charged with dogfighting and felony animal cruelty. Investigators say the Sanders Road home is tied to a suspect, but did not identify which one.
