Dr. Henry Hunt, superintendent, said, “Being named a teacher of the year is always a tremendous honor because it shows that a teacher’s peers recognize his or her dedication and skill. I congratulate each one of these outstanding educators.”
During the summer, Jean Toole, the current School District of Pickens County Teacher of the Year, will chair a
committee to select the new district teacher of the year. Four honor roll teachers will be announced. The committee will then interview the honor roll teachers and select the district winner.
The announcement of the 2013 SDPC Teacher of the Year will be made at a virtual back-to-school meeting in August.
