Arson Not Suspected in Easley Business Fire

A preliminary investigation has led police and fire officials to believe arson was not the cause of a Friday morning fire in Easley.

At approximately 3:36 a.m. Friday morning the Easley Fire and Police departments responded to a fire at Casual Cuts Salon and Spa at 755 Rock Springs Road in Easley.

"Right now we don't have any reason to continue with a criminal investigation," Suddeth said. "But we can't say for sure because we're still waiting on information from the surveillance cameras."

Len Reeves, a fire investigator with the S.C. Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, was on the scene aiding police and firefighters but would not comment on the investigation.
