Go Downtown to Eat, Downtown Easley That Is!
So normally I'd post something pertaining to one of my businesses, but I thought a post about downtown Easley would be more enjoyable....and best of all it's an article on where to eat in Easley.

So normally I'd post something pertaining to one of my businesses that I am involved with, MaxPT or R&A Computing, but I thought a post about downtown Easley would be more enjoyable- and best of all it's an article on where to eat in Easley.
Over the past two maybe three years, I have been very much impressed in what has been happening in "downtown" Easley, and for those of you who are new to the area- no that's not where Wal-Mart and KMart are located. To get there you need to go a little bit further and bear off onto Hwy 93 and just keep going, you'll know when you get to "downtown."
First off, when you are driving into to town one of the first places you come to is The Huddle. The Huddle is what a burger joint should be like, put your order in at the counter and wait for some good food. If you happen to crave a milkshake, The Huddle is a great place to go, as their milkshakes are outstanding. Further down the road you'll hit another burger joint, and an Easley staple...Joe's (aka the Easley Ice Cream Parlor). Owner Joe Lesley has been running the place well, forever, and he is still going strong and is one of those guys that won't forget who you are. It's kind of like Cheers, you know where everyone knows your name....and they still put a pitcher of Sweet Tea on your table !

If your in the mood for pizza and a good time for the whole family, head across the railroad tracks and up a little and find Michael's Pizzeria, located in Doodle Station. Michael serves up fresh, hand-tossed pizza, italian dishes, chicken wings, hot-oven subs, and best of all that "something special" for dessert...you'll just need to go and find out what that is. And hey if your in the mood for ice cream, after eating your pizza, check out the Ice Cream shop next door.
Also on that side of the tracks is a great breakfast and lunch spot called "The Starving Artist Cafe." They serve several different blends of coffee, pastries, and sandwich plates. The Cafe is located in what used to be Vikalin's Coffee Shop and is located near Easley's City Hall.

Hoping back to the other side of the tracks, you will find several other unique retaurants. Another great lunch spot is Serendipity, no it's not the famous coffee spot in New York, but this one is just as good. One of the newest dinner spots in downtown Easley is the Bleu Voodoo Grill. Bleu Voodoo is a New Orleans themed restaurant and serves several cajun dishes, but has something for everyone. The restaurant is only open on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening, but is well worth it.
If you head down Pendleton Street toward 123, you start smelling a grill, that's when you know you have hit the Easley Smokehouse, which has quickly become one of Easley's best Bar-Be-Que restaurants. The Smokehouse offers $5 lunch specials, and if you go, I suggest trying the potato skillet. Now if you are just in the mood for something light and that cup of freshly brewed coffee, keep going on 123 and find Coyote Coffee. If you think Starbucks is good, well then you haven't tried Coyote Coffee.
Now I know I haven't included everyone, so I'll do one of these posts again...so come back for more on what to east in Easley !
