Coroner: Easley Man Found Dead in Lake Hartwell
On Monday, searchers found the body of an Easley man who had been reported missing after hunting with friends on Saturday night.

An Easley man was found dead in the Keowee River near Lake Hartwell after he drowned while hunting with friends.
Jason Corey Stone, 33, of Easley was found dead Monday morning in the Keowee River in Six Mile after he had been missing since Saturday night. The cause of Stone's death was drowning, according to Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelley.
Stone had gone raccoon hunting with friends on Saturday and friends reported him missing on Sunday, according to WSPA.

When officials discovered his body, they said Stone had been submerged in waders that were full of water, according to the coroner's report. Kelley said there was no sign of any trauma to the victim.
Stone was not wearing a life jacket at the time, but the report did not indicate what caused him to go under.

Stone's body was transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital for an autopsy after the scene was investigated by the Pickens County Coroner's office and the S.C. Department of Natural Resources, the report said.
