Drivers Killed In Collision On SC 183 Identified

The names of the two drivers killed in a head-on collision on SC 183 this morning have been released.

Both victims were from Easley, according to Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelley.

According to Highway Patrol, around 9:05 a.m. the driver of a 2001 Nissan four-door was travelling south on Highway 183, near Hitt Road, when it crossed the double-yellow line and struck and oncoming car head on.

The driver of the Nissan has been identified as Darrell Foster McCoy, Sr., 52. 

McCoy died at the scene, troopers said. He was not wearing a seat belt.

The driver of the second vehicle, a 2008 Chevrolet, also died at the scene. She has been identified as Nancy Marie Seal, 65. Seal was wearing a seat belt.

The accident is under investigation.
