Although the start of school is more than a month away, it's a good time to start preparing your shopping list for school supplies.
South Carolina's sales tax holiday is slated for August 3-5. That weekend offers a chance for parents to save money as they gather school supplies.
Clothing, shoes, school supplies, book bags, computers, printers, bedspreads and linens are among the items for that qualify for the tax-free weekend. For more details on the sales tax holiday, including a detailed listed of goods that qualify for the savings, click here.

McKissick Elementary Uniform information: Students in grades K5-2 will wear a light blue or navy blue polo shirt. Students in grades 3-5 will wear red or royal blue polo shirts. All students may wear Khaki or navy pants, capris, shorts, skorts, etc. Students will be allowed to wear dark blue jeans. No logoes, holes or embroidery will be allowed.
