Easley High Bell Travels to New Home
Piece of Green Wave history now installed at new Easley High School campus
On Thursday, August 24th, the EHS bell made its journey from the old EHS on Pendleton Street to Green Wave Stadium on the campus of the new Easley High School.
The current bell was manufactured on October 31, 1924 by the C.S. Bell Company of Ohio. It was first used at Brice Field in the late 1960's when it replaced an earlier nineteenth century bell (whose fate is unknown).
The current bell is known for its use by the late Dorris Childress who kept vigil over it for decades during home games at Brice Field.

The Green Wave Athletic Booster Club would like to thank the volunteers who made the move possible: Bob Sheriff; Ronnie Stewart; and the staff of H.G. Reynolds Company who removed the bell from the Class of 2006 Tower at Brice Field so it could be transported to the new campus.
