Easley Man Charged with Attempted Murder

An Easley man was charged after firing a weapon at victim

Easley Police have charged an Easley man with the attempted murder of another man.

On Sept. 3, Easley Police were dispatched to Baptist Easley Hospital in response to a gunshot victim.

Clarence Ladale Davis, 26, of Easley was arrested and charged with the attempted murder of another Easley man at a home on Railroad Street.

Police said Davis held a .25 caliber handgun to the victim's head and fired the gun as the victim tried to wrestle the gun away. Davis shot the victim in the hand instead.

Davis has been charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime, unlawful possession of a pistol, and attempted murder. Ladale has been detained by the Pickens County Sheriff and no bond has been set.
