Easley Man Sentenced to 25 Years for Molesting Two Girls
Officials said the incidents began in May 2007.

An Easley man was sentenced to 25 years in prison Monday after he pleaded guilty to molestation charges.
William David Wooten, 42, of 101 Oakdale Lane in Easley, appeared before Judge Brooks Goldsmith Monday and pleaded guilty to charges of first degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and committing a lewd act on a minor, according to a statement from 13th Judicial Circuit Solicitor Walt Wilkins.
Wooten was initially charged after an incident that occured on Nov. 28, 2010, when he attempted to molest a 13-year-old girl at her Pickens County residence, the statement said. The girl immediately reported the incident to her parents.

During an investigation into the incident it was determined that Wooten had also sexually assaulted another young girl numerous times between May 2007 and November 2010 at his home in Easley. The incidents began when the girl was 8-years-old and continued until she was 11, the statement said.
The case was investigated by Easley Police Detective Brandon Liner and Pickens County Sheriff's Lietenant J.B. Kelley.

Wooten is required to serve at least 85 percent of the 25 year sentence before he is eligible for parole, according to the statement.
