A 38-year-old Easley mother is facing charges after striking one child and attempting to strike another

An Easley mother is facing two charges of unlawful conduct towards a child according to Easley Police.
Clarissa L. Ferguson, 38, of Easley was arrested on Thursday and now faces two charges of unlawful conduct towards a child, according to warrants.
Police first responded to a 911 call reporting an assault on a juvenile by an adult at a home on W. 2nd Avenue on Wednesday.

One warrant alleged that Ferguson struck her 7-year-old son in the face/ear with an open hand intending to cause harm and "placed his physical and mental health at unreasonable risk."
A second warrant says Ferguson allegedly attempted to strike her 13-year-old son by "punching at him with a closed fist with the intent to cause harm to the victim."
