  1. Easley City Council approved recommended criteria for the city's redistricting plan. Population growth over the past decade has caused an imbalance within the city's voting wards.
  2. Easley City Council approved the first reading of a proposed annexation of a residential property. The second reading will be held on Monday August 8 at the Easley Law Enforcement Center.
  3. Utah Governor Jon Hunstman visited the Upstate this week and received a key endorsement from former Gov. Carroll Campbell's family.
  4. Easley's Harry Potter fans got to see the final installment of the popular series of movies based on the series of novels by author J.K. Rowling on Thursday.
  5. The Easley Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee met with concerned residents and church leaders Thursday morning to discuss the issue of parking in the city's new bicycle/pedestrian lanes.
