Arts Council of Pickens County will hold its first meeting on November 19, 2012 at 7:30 pm at The Starving Artist Cafe. The meeting is open to any community member who wishes to help promote and advance the visual and performing arts in Pickens County. Artists, students, and citizens with a passion for the arts are encouraged to attend this initial organizational meeting.
The main goal of the organization is to promote and advance the visual and performing arts in Pickens County. The group is striving to be an inclusive group that nurtures the arts as well as fosters a strong network among the artists in our community.
Arts Council of Pickens County recently hosted the 1st Annual Fall for the Arts in downtown Easley. The festival was a great success with visual artists and performers representing the various genres of fine art already available here in our community.
