Children will enjoy creating in a studio with new art camp friends, viewing items in the museum's collection, and receiving individual instruction time with artists. Children's creativity, art skills and ecological resource awareness will be nurtured as they use a variety of art materials and found objects to create works that are representative of popular folk art. Inspired by items created by local artisans, students will delve into decorative folk painting, creating wooden folk figures, constructing fabric appliqué, fun folk paper cutting and expressive folk art collage. For students ages 8-12 years. Tuition: $170 ($150 for members) and includes all art supplies as well as snacks & refreshments.
