The Pickens County Library System is partnering with Americorps to provide FREE Money Smart Classes, taught
by a trained Americorps member at the Hampton Memorial Library in Easley. Classes will be held on each Tuesday
throughout October. The Money Smart curriculum, developed by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation
(FDIC), strives to help individuals enhance their financial skills and create financial stability. There will be one
course geared specifically for teens (17 and under), and another course for adults (18 and up).
Teens are invited to attend the following classes at 4pm at the Hampton Memorial Library in Easley:
Tuesday, October 2 - Pizza and a movie? Learn about budgeting.
Tuesday, October 9 - Free money…yeah right! Learn about banking.
Tuesday, October 16- Nobody rides for free! Learn about borrowing and credit.
Tuesday, October 23- My parents want me to get a job! Learn about income and expenses.
Tuesday, October 30- If I move out, does my brother get my room? Learn about paying for college.
