The purpose of these debates is to bring the best, and most information possible about all the candidates for all offices in Pickens County. The objective is to provide a completely unbiased forum for the candidates to present their platforms.
The candidates for Pickens County Sheriff will face off in the kickoff event. This is the first in a series of public debates being organized by the Grandparents Rights Association of South Carolina in partnership with other civic groups. The moderator for this event is David Merck, and panelists will include Dr. Kelly Pew, Pickens County School Superintendent, Bill Johnson from Conservatives of the Upstate, and more to be announced.
