Fair acquaints new students with community, services

Southern Wesleyan University students get familiar with area businesses and organizations while receiving giveaway items and coupons.

Southern Wesleyan University kicked off the new academic year with a fair Aug. 18 where students could become familiar with area businesses and organizations, while enjoying free food, snacks and giveaway items. At right, Dale Watson, manager of Valvoline Instant Oil Change; and Alicia Keys of Subway meet students while handing out giveaway items and discount coupons. Also on hand were several nonprofit organizations, local churches and student organizations.

Southern Wesleyan University is a Christ-centered, student-focused learning community devoted to transforming lives by challenging students to be dedicated scholars and servant-leaders who impact the world for Christ. For details about degree programs, go online to swu.edu.
