
No injuries were reported after a brush fire on Lenhardt Road Monday.
Captain Barry Bridges with the Easley Fire Department said firefighters responded to a reported brush fire at 639 Lenhardt Road.
The first responding unit reported that the brush fire was spreading fast, Bridges said.

Firefighters extinguished the fire and performed salvage and overhaul operations.
Bridges said firefighters had the fire under control within 30 minutes of arrival.

The fire was contained to a 1-acre area, he said.
Two brush units and a pumper truck responded to the fire. The South Carolina Forestry Commission also responded to the fire.
The fire has been ruled accidental, Bridges said.
The homeowner was burning leaves in the area where the fire started, Bridges said.
The South Carolina Forestry Commission issued a citation to the homeowner.
Combined Utilities also responded to the scene to check underground power lines at the scene.
