Many Harry Potter fans in Easley have purchased tickets already but the first show is far from sold out.

The wait will soon be over for Easley Harry Potter fans as the final adventure in the series of novels by author J.K. Rowling makes its debut at the REI Easley 8 Cinemas tonight.

"The movies are very interesting and very fun," said 9-year-old Malissia Ware of Easley during a visit to the Hampton Memorial Library on Wednesday. Malissia and her twin brother Malik hope to see the newest movie this weekend.

"We're going to watch the Harry Potter movie and see some magic," Malik said eagerly.

The theater has sold 57 tickets in advance, but is far from selling out.

"Usually with midnight movies we don't sell out," Bowers said. "With this one, since it's such a big movie we could sell out."

Diane, a 15-year-old Easley resident said she's been ready for the final adventure for some time.

"I can't wait- it's the final one," Diane said. "I've been watching Harry Potter since I was little."

The long-time fan is hoping HP7 will tie up some loose ends for her.

"I've always wondered who everyone was going to end up with," Diane said. "I hope they have some big ending, one that takes place 15 years later."

Fans of the Harry Potter novels like Josh Bower already know how the movie will end, but Bower said he's still looking forward to seeing Hollywood's dramatic take.
