Joey Pankake Chooses USC Over MLB

Easley High School Graduate Joey Pankake chose to attend the University of South Carolina over an opportunity to play for the Texas Rangers.

Easley High School graduate Joey Pankake was selected in the 42nd round of the Major League draft by the Texas Rangers, but opted instead to attend the University of South Carolina, according to the Pickens County News.

Pankake played baseball for Easley High School and was also a part of the 2011 South Carolina District 1 team at the Big League World Series.
