“Once we get back here we'll have BBQ and music and all that good stuff,” Tew said.
The cost to ride is $25 per bike, Tew said.
“That includes all your food, music and T-shirts will they last,” he said. “All the money raised goes to the Mackenzie Sullivan Scholarship fund at Pickens High School.”
Mackenzie, Tew's niece, was killed in a car accident on April 7, 2007, just weeks before she was to graduate from Pickens High School.
“She had just turned 18 two weeks before the accident,” Tew said.
Mackenzie played volley ball at Pickens High School and planned on going into the Air Force after graduation, Tew said.
“She was a really nice person,” he said. “She didn't have an enemy in the world. Everybody that knew her loved her.”
