Mary C. Parton Waldrop

Mary Caldwell Parton Waldrop, 85, formerly of Zion Heights Court, passed away Monday, August 20, 2012.

Born in Cataloochee, NC, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Ella Caldwell.

Mrs. Waldrop was retired from Emeritus at Countryside Village in Easley and was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.

Surviving are her children, Johnny H. Parton (Diane) and Janice P. Lesley (Jim) all of Easley; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a brother, Thurman Caldwell of Waynesville, NC; and six sisters, Annie Caldwell, Betty Cook, Minnie Parton, Sarah Jane Sutton, Ruby Bradley and Cora Williamson all of Waynesville, NC.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Jack Parton, her second husband, Ray Waldrop, and six brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 2:30 PM in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home with burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.

The family will be at the home of her daughter, Janice Lesley, 442 Zion Church Rd., Easley, SC 29642.
