Murder Suspects Waive Extradition

Two suspects in the murder of an Easley man have waived extradition, the third was transported to Pickens County last week.

Two of the suspects in the murder of Sean Timothy Dinneen have waived extradition to South Carolina and one suspect has already been transported back to Pickens County.

Tavish Yeargin and Kayla Williams had their first day in court Monday and went before a judge in Buncombe County, N.C., and officials say they'll be coming back to South Carolina soon.

"I understand that they have waived extradition and will be transported back to Pickens County," Assistant Pickens County Sheriff Tim Morgan said.

The third suspect in the case, Nyia Utsey, was already brought back to Pickens County last week.

"She went before a Magistrate on Friday," Morgan said. Utsey now waits for a bond hearing.

Morgan said his office hasn't been informed of when the other two will be ready to be transported, but that it would be sometime this month.

Warrants were issued for all three for murder and grand larceny after the murder of Sean Dinneen at Crosswell First Baptist Church on Sept. 17. Days later Yeargin was caught on video robbing a bank in Spartanburg.

Yeargin, Williams, and Utsey were arrested on Sept. 21 by U.S. Marshals Deputies at a hotel near Asheville, N.C.

Police said the motive for the killing remains unknown.
