No Injuries Reported in Foster Avenue Fire
Home fire appears to have been caused by lightning strike

Easley firefighters responded to a blaze on Foster Avenue in the early morning hours Saturday.
According to Captain Barry Bridges, the call came in at 12:18am. When firefighters arrived, they saw heavy smoke and fire coming from the roof of the home.
Bridges said firefighters were able to bring the fire under control within thirty minutes of arrival.

Crews then remained on the scene for two hours conducting salvage and overhaul, he said.
The owner of the home was at home when the fire started, Bridges said.

Neither the occupants of the home nor firefighters were injured in the fire.
The fire appears to have been caused by a lightning strike, Bridges said. It has been ruled accidental.
The home had working smoke detectors, Bridges said.
The Easley Fire Department sent two engine companies and a service company to the home, he said.
The Easley Police, Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative and the Pickens County Sheriff's Office also responded to the fire.
