Tommie Jean Reece-Burns, 71, wife of John Boyd Burns, died February 4, 2013.
Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late T. C. and Sallie Mae Bridges Reece.
Jean was a former employee with Liberty Life and later was a professional model with Millie Lewis Agency. She was also associated with Georgio Cosmetics and Liz Claiborne Clothing.
She was a member of Concord Baptist Church, Anderson and was a 1959 graduate of Parker High School.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her daughter, Reesa Dawn Burns, of Easley and her son, John Byron (Lisa) Burns, of Anderson.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 2:00pm at The Mackey Mortuary. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon one hour prior to the service at the mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lupus Foundation, 180 Rusty Lane, Easley, SC 29642; or to the Greenville Humane Society, 305 Airport Road, Greenville, SC 29607.
