Foundation supports educational goals of law enforcement personnel and/or their children.

state.

The Sheriff's Scholarship Foundation was established in 1989 to provide

Since its inception, the Scholarship Foundation has awarded over
$245,000 to law enforcement personnel and/or their children.  These
scholarships are made possible through concerned businesses and
individuals that donated to and participated in the Sheriff's
Scholarship Foundation Golf Tournament.

To honor Sheriff C. David Stone for his foresight and belief in the golf
tournament to raise funds to assist in rising educational expenses, The
Scholarship Committee has renamed the annual golf tournament to The
Sheriff C. David Stone Invitational.  The 2012 Tournament will be held
Tuesday, October 2nd at the Pickens Country Club.  For information and
registration for this twenty fourth annual tournament, contact the
Pickens County Sheriff's Office at 898-5529.
