Pickens County Democratic Party Chairman to Leave Post
Pickens County Democratice Party Chairman John Painter will resign from his position due to relocation outside the county.
An out-of-county move will require that Pickens County Democratic Party Chairman John Painter resign from his post effective July 31, 2011, according to a recent story on the Anderson Independent Mail website.
Painter has served as the party chair for the past four years but his family is relocating to Seneca, South Carolina, according to the Independent Mail story. The party's executive committee will need to find a replacement until the seat is up for reelection in 2012.
