Alliance Pickens and the South Carolina Department of Commerce will make a major jobs announcement for Pickens County Tuesday morning.
Officials are scheduled to announce the expansion of an existing Pickens County employer that will add a significant number of jobs to the area and a significant financial investment for the county, according to a statement from Alliance Pickens.
Since June officials have made four other major jobs announcements, but according to Monday's statement this is going to be the largest one yet.

Unemployment in Pickens County has remained at a steady 9.1 percent for several months, but economic advocates for the county are increasingly optimistic.
Employers like VCI, JR Automation Technologies, KP Components, and YH America have announced a combined 241 jobs and $19.1 million of investments here in Pickens County since June.
