For now, officials are keeping the PRA’s Court Street office closed for the most part, until a new director can be found.

“I just think we’re going to have a lot of turnover until we can make (the position) full time,” Brackett said.

She said the PRA’s phones are forwarding to City Hall for now.

“If someone calls PRA’s number, they’ll call here and we’ll get them an answer for whatever they need,” Brackett said. “We’re happy to help the PRA however we can.”

Councilman Patrick Lark said the PRA is already getting requests from musicians who would like to play at the 2013 Founders Day Festival.

“They’re already receiving demo CDs from bands as far away as Virginia wanting to get signed up to play this year’s festival.” Lark said. “That’s pretty cool.”

The inaugural festival was held in Pickens on September 22, 2012 and drew a large crowd to the area.
