Police Arrest 5 in Meth Lab Investigation
A six-month investigation into a meth lab operation ends with five arrests
With the addition of two recent arrests, Easley Police have arrested a total of five people with ties to a methamphetamine lab operation in Easley last spring.
In April, Easley Police executed a search warrant at a home on West 2nd Avenue after a surveillance operation led them to believe methamphetamines were being produced at the residence.
When officers entered the property, they say they found resident Jimmy Moore disposing of the parts of a meth lab. Officers reported that "a very strong chemical odor was coming from the inside of the storage building."

The investigating officers had to put on chemical protective gear in order to search the storage shed behind Moore's residence. The search yielded digital scales, empty pseudoephedrine containers, receipts from various stores, empty fuel containers, denatured alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, and plenty of drug paraphernalia.
Initially police arrested Moore on charges of conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamines and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police also arrested Jessica Grant, 20, of Liberty and Lewis Oswalt, 27, of Easley on similar charges.

After further investigation police now believe the individuals responsible for the manufacturing of the drug were actually a father and his son. They say Gerald Patrick Pease, 51, of Pickens and his son Daniel Lee Pease, 31, were using Moore's shed to produce the drug.
Last week police located the pair in the Greenville County Detention Center and charged them with manufacturing methamphetamine.
