Reggia Stapleton Named 2012-2013 South Carolina Woman of Accomplishment
Award honors women who distinguished themselves in the career, community service and serve as outstanding role models for women.

The purpose of the South Carolina Woman of Accomplishment Program is to honor successful women who have distinguished themselves in their career; community services; and outstanding role models for young women.
This program encourages recruitment of women into BPW membership, promotes activities that involve the participation of women, and publicly recognizes achievements and efforts of women in our communities.
It is sponsored by the Easley Business and Professional Women’s Club for all Pickens County Women.

Representing Easley Business Professional Women’s Club and sponsored by the Dorothy O. Scott Garden Club, Mrs. Stapleton is currently the Director/Administrator of John T. Simpson Alternative Center for Education.
In this role, she coordinates with all four Pickens County high schools, all five Pickens County middle schools, and the Pickens County Career and Technology Center to provide rigorous and structured educational opportunities for Pickens County students who are unsuccessful in the regular school setting.Â

Prior to accepting this role, Mrs. Stapleton served as: assistant administrator of  John T. Simpson; interim principal at RC Edwards Middle School; assistant principal at Pickens Middle School; and, as a teacher at several high school and middle school locations. Mrs. Stapleton has been an educator in the state of South Carolina for twenty-seven years.
Mrs. Stapleton has an extensive portfolio of professional and community involvement. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Pickens County's soup kitchen - SHINE; is actively involved in the South Carolina Association for School Administrators; is actively serving on the School District of Pickens County’s At-Risk Task Force; was previously appointed by SC State Senator Larry Martin serving on the South Carolina Grant Oversight Committee.Â
Mrs. Stapleton served as Coordinator of Pickens County Youth Court Intervention Program, an Arbitrator for the 13th Circuit Solicitor's Office, and as the Site Coordinator for the Pickens County Truancy Court Diversion Program. She is currently a member of Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education, and a former member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International.Â
