Scholarship Established In Memory of EHS Science Teacher

William N. Carmical Scholarship will help a senior pursue educational goals in fields of science or engineering.

A new scholarship will help an area senior planning to pursue a career in science or engineering.

The William N. Carmical Scholarship has been establish to honor the memory of beloved Easley High School science teacher Dr. William N. “Mike” Carmical.

Dr. Carmical died suddenly on January 22 at the age of 61. He began teaching at Easley High School in 1997.

The $1000 scholarship will be awarded to a senior student planning to major in science or engineering who demonstrates a commitment to community and school involvement while maintaining an overall “B” average.

Anyone wishing to contribute to the scholarship fund may submit donations payable to Easley High School to the following address:
