The audience will have a number of opportunities for an active role in the debate. On the night of the debate, audience members will help narrow down the list of questions from each group to a final, short list of questions. Others will participate in post-debate Question & Answer sessions with candidates.
The format of the debate is designed to eliminate the influence of any single interest or political group, party or candidate in an effort to encourage a broader participation by people from across the county.
The PC Sheriff Debate is the first of several events planned before the November election. Current plans include:
- Easley School Board Trustee Debate
- Easley & Pickens County Council candidate forum
- Pickens Senate Debate
