Suspect Emailed Photos from Stolen iPad
Police are asking for help in locating a suspect in a theft case.
A suspect in a theft case was identified by authorities after she emailed a photo of herself using a stolen iPad.
Police are asking the public for help in locating Kia Irie Marley, the woman seen in two photos that were emailed from an iPad stolen from a vehicle in Easley last week.
"At this time we're not saying this is the person who did this," Easley Police Detective Joh Hamby said. "We're trying to locate her because she did at one time possess the stolen iPad and she may be able to help us find the person responsible."
Police said several items were taken from a vehicle in Easley sometime between Nov. 2 and Nov. 3 near Calhoun Memorial Highway. The items included a laptop computer, a handgun, an iPad 2, and other miscellaneous items.
Hamby said it is unknown how the thief entered the vehicle because there were no signs of forced entry and that it is possible the vehicle was left unlocked. The items stolen from the vehicle are valued at approximately $2,200.
