SWU Students help Habitat for Humanity
Students spent part of fall break assisting with construction of home in Norris.
Justin Carter, pictured at left, associate vice president for student life, watches as Southern Wesleyan University students Brittany Anderson, Chelsea Chamberlin and Keonna Palmer install drywall in a Norris home being built for a family through the assistance of Pickens County Habitat for Humanity.
Anderson is a sophomore from Anderson majoring in intercultural studies; Chamberlin is a freshman from Six Mile majoring in special education; and Palmer is a sophomore from Easley majoring in media communication and human resources.
The students spent part of their fall break assisting Pickens County Habitat for Humanity and the Veal family in construction of their new home in Norris. The students also shingled the home’s roof.
