Tri-County 4-H Rabbit Project Begins

Pickens – The Clemson Extension Service in Anderson, Oconee and Pickens Counties will be holding a Rabbit Project Workshop Monday, August 27, 2012 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. The workshop will be held at the Dept. of Natural Resources Office Conference Room, 311 National Resources Dr. in Clemson.

This workshop is open to current 4-H members and those youth who may want to join 4-H at the meeting. The cost to join 4-H is $10 per year and includes a SC State 4-H t-shirt. The cost of the Rabbit project is $15(you will need to have your own rabbit) due at the workshop or before.

This workshop is designed to answer your rabbit questions, teach showmanship skills, aid in selecting the best breed of rabbit for your family and give you an overview of the 2012-13 Rabbit Project.

Prior to the workshop, contact the Pickens County 4-H Agent, Janine Sutter, 864-878-1394x122, for details on the project, help in finding a pure-breed rabbit and payment information.
