Tri-County’s Handgun Safety and Proficiency Class Starts Saturday, June 16

The Tri-County Technical College Anderson Campus will offer a Handgun Safety and Proficiency course to allow qualifying participants to apply for a South Carolina Concealed Weapons Permit.  Students will be provided with the basic knowledge and skills for the safe and proper use of a handgun.

The classroom portion of the class will be held at the Anderson Campus Saturday, June 16, from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.  The firing range location and times will be announced during class.  The cost is $95 per person or for individuals who bring a friend; the cost is discounted to $75 per person (one friend per person.).

The course will include eight hours of classroom instruction and additional time on the firing range.   Topics will include weapons components and handgun knowledge, handgun safety and handling, cleaning and storage of weapons, basic shooting techniques, range safety and South Carolina law.
