Vigil Denounces S.C. Immigration Law

The South Carolina Immigration Coalition held a vigil to protest S.B. 20

Members of the South Carolina Immigration Coalition gathered at Falls Park in downtown Greenville Sunday night for a vigil to protest the passing of S.B. 20, an immigration reform law that was passed recently.

A federal judge in Charleston is scheduled to hear initial arguments in favor of and against the law Monday morning.

The South Carolina Immigration Coalition is a group of individuals and organizations that includes the S.C. Appleseed Legal Justice Center, the League of Women Voters of South Carolina, the S.C. NAACP, activists, and local pastors.
