Officers quickly evacuated play areas, set up a perimeter, and tranquilized the animal within about 30 minutes, prompting the zoo to change procedures to prevent another escape.

Greenville County students help develop national AI policy (greenvillejournal.com) — Two Greenville County high school seniors helped craft a national framework for how AI should be used in K–12 schools, and their work aligns closely with Greenville County Schools' own new AI policy. Local high schools are already piloting AI courses, using tools like MagicSchool AI and offering state pathway classes that can lead to Microsoft Azure AI certifications and expanded future offerings.

3. 2 people shot at Greenville County park (wyff4.com) — Two people were shot Tuesday afternoon at Lakeside Park on Piedmont Highway in Greenville County, and both are expected to survive their non-life-threatening injuries. Deputies say the gunfire followed a physical altercation and they are still searching for the shooter. Anyone with information can anonymously contact Crime Stoppers of Greenville at 864-23-CRIME.

WWE News: More Upcoming Raw & SmackDown Dates And Locations Announced (ewrestling.com) — WWE is bringing Monday Night Raw to Greenville's Bon Secours Wellness Arena on November 9, with tickets going on sale September 11 and presales starting September 10. The announcement is part of a new slate of eight Raw and SmackDown dates nationwide, giving local wrestling fans an early chance to secure seats for the live TV event.
